NORTH CANTON, OH, August 25, 2009 – Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) today announced receiving awards from its customers in recognition of the company’s outstanding performance. On behalf of KAG and its subsidiaries, Bruce Blaise, Executive Vice President of the Fuels Delivery Group, and Chet Friday, Vice President Safety and Security – Western U.S., recently accepted the 2008 North American Hauler of the Year Award from ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing Company.
As part of the award process, KAG West was invited to attend the ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing’s Global “Hauler of the Year” event held in Hong Kong during the month of July. According to Alan Iafrate, North America Fleet Manager for ExxonMobil, “Commitment to operational excellence on a sustained basis is the cornerstone for achieving ExxonMobil’s Hauler of the Year award. Being selected as the North American 2008 Hauler of the Year clearly demonstrates your dedication and the considerable effort of your entire organization to share our vision and continuously improve.”
Earlier this year, various KAG subsidiaries also received awards from Marathon Petroleum Company and The SWT Group. Klemm Tank Lines, Advantage Tank Lines and North Canton Transfer all received Certificates of Accomplishment from Marathon for their 2008 exceptional performance in safety and operations while Advantage Tank Lines received the 2008 Outstanding Supplier Achievement Award from The SWT Group. And finally, on August 21, 2009, KAG West was honored by Chevron Global Marketing for helping them achieve 1,000,000 miles without a preventable accident at their Phoenix, AZ terminal location.
