KENAN ADVANTAGE GROUP, INC. ANNOUNCES PLAN TO TRAIN ALL AFFILIATED EMPLOYEES IN HIGHWAY WATCH®

November 29th, 2004 ALEXANDRIA, VA—Kenan Advantage Group, Inc. (KAG), the Canton, OH based independent fuels delivery carrier, will become the latest national motor carrier to participate corporate wide in the American Trucking Associations’ (ATA) Highway Watch® program. Highway Watch® is a national safety and security program that utilizes the skills, experience, and “road smarts” of America’s transportation workers to help prevent terrorists from using large vehicles or hazardous cargoes as weapons and to protect America’s critical highway transportation infrastructure. The program is administered by ATA under an agreement with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

KAG has committed to putting Highway Watch® training materials into the hands of all 4000 employees represented by their seven subsidiaries encouraging voluntary participation in the national program. The curriculum teaches drivers how to observe and properly report suspected national security threats and highway safety incidents. “We at KAG believe that all Americans have a responsibility to assist in keeping our country safe and secure,” said Dennis Nash, Kenan Advantage Group, Inc. President & CEO. “The Highway Watch® program provides us with an excellent opportunity to do just that and we are committed to ensuring that all of our employees, from the clerk to our company executives, join the Highway Watch® team.”

“We’re proud to have KAG as a member of our Highway Watch® team,” said Bill Graves ATA President and CEO. “Their employees will add tremendous value to this program and we look forward to working with them on this very important safety and security initiative.” In March 2004, ATA entered into a $19.3 million cooperative agreement with DHS to expand its Highway Watch® program on behalf of the highway sector. Fueled by this cooperative agreement and an additional $21 million earmarked for 2005, Highway Watch® will not only provide instruction for hundreds of thousands of highway transportation professionals—including commercial truck and bus drivers, school bus drivers, state Department of Transportation (DOT) workers and others—but also administer a national Highway Watch® Call Center as well as the Highway Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC).

Kenan Advantage Group, Inc. is the largest independent fuels delivery carrier in North America. Their seven subsidiary groups Advantage Tank Lines, Beneto Bulk Transport, KAG Logistics, Kenan Transport, Klemm Tank Lines, McDaniel Corporation, North Canton Transfer and Petro-Chemical Transport make regular, local deliveries of refined petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel and aviation fuels. In 2003 they delivered approximately 21 billion gallons of refined petroleum products using 77 terminals and 93 satellite operations. With approximately $365 million in revenue and approximately $416 million in pro forma revenue KAG is approximately six times larger than it’s next largest competitor.
