Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) continues to demonstrate its commitment to safety and environmental responsibility, earning multiple 2025 Responsible Care® recognitions from the American Chemistry Council (ACC).
KAG Specialty Products received a Product Safety Award for its Plastic Resin Release Prevention Initiative, while eight KAG facilities earned Facility Safety Awards – Certificates of Excellence for their 2025 safety performance.
Together, the recognitions highlight KAG’s continued focus on Environment, Health, Safety and Security (EHS&S) and the processes, people and investments that help protect employees, customers, communities, and the environment.
Advancing Plastic Resin Release Prevention
KAG Specialty Products received the Responsible Care Product Safety Award for significant achievement in product safety through its Plastic Resin Release Prevention Initiative.
The initiative focuses on reducing the potential for plastic resin loss during transportation and logistics operations. KAG has worked to strengthen processes and equipment while engaging employees who handle plastic resin across all levels of the organization. By gathering input from those working directly in the field, KAG has been able to identify what is working, uncover opportunities for improvement and provide additional resources to support resin loss prevention.
The initiative is part of KAG’s broader commitment to Responsible Care and Operation Clean Sweep (OCS), an industry program focused on preventing plastic resin from entering waterways and the environment.
For KAG customers, these efforts support more than environmental stewardship. They reflect a disciplined approach to product handling, operational consistency and continuous improvement throughout the transportation process.
Eight Facilities Earn Safety Excellence Recognition
KAG Specialty Products also received Responsible Care Facility Safety Awards – Certificates of Excellence for eight facilities: Irving, Texas; Cleveland, Ohio; Seville, Ohio; South Gate, California; Memphis, Tennessee; Freeport, Texas; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Massillon, Ohio. The certificates recognize achievement in preventing occupational injuries and illnesses during 2025.
Each recognized facility completed the year with zero fatalities, zero days-away-from-work cases and zero job transfer or restriction cases for both employees and contractors.
Achieving those results across multiple locations reflects the role safety plays in KAG’s day-to-day operations. It requires employees at every level to follow established procedures, identify and communicate potential risks and continually look for opportunities to make operations safer.
That commitment also carries through to KAG’s customers. Strong safety performance helps support dependable operations, responsible product handling and the consistent service customers rely on when transporting specialized products.
While these awards recognize specific achievements during 2025, they also represent a broader commitment at KAG. Safety and environmental responsibility are ongoing priorities that influence how the company trains its people, evaluates processes, invests in equipment and serves its customers.
